you need to remove all loaders in order for the modded bios (off-line activation) to work.

    Thanks imatrix,

Downloaded flash for Dell XPS 710 "XPS710-010401A.EXE". What flash utility do I use to flash bios? and within windows or DOS cmd prompt? Also, just in case, if I get a bad flash can I recover on this particular "Dell" system?

Believe me Kumeipark, I didn't use any crack /loader at all.

My system is clean, only think I did was flashing from bios A2 to A3 downloaded from Dell.

It's Studio 1458 N series the one that out of Dell box without Windows pre-installed.

However if you would like to have it, I'll upload the new one tomorrow.

I swear that my system is clean from crack/loader...

    Thanks for caring.

Where did you find the BIOS? I flashed the latest from the site and it doesn't have the slic table....

EDIT: Anyone have the BIOS for E6500 modded and ready to flash?

My bad - too quick on the google (DS-2501 vs Dallas Semi 2501). That's a serial EEPROM chip on the power brick, but it's not the same one on the motherboard, right? (Mobo may have a SEEPROM too, but it would not likely be related.) The mobo should have an I2C interface chip connected to that data pin.

PM me if you'd like to continue this discussion (about the hardware) as we're pretty far afield of the BIOS mods folks here are making. Yours would require disassembly of the BIOS itself and I don't think these mods are anywhere near that level.

imatrix, I have attached 2 RW-Everything reports the A10-O is from the original A10 BIOS, the A10-M is from the one I tried to mod.

    Thanks for the help
