    Vostro 420, oem activated fine with official 1.2.0 BIOS :). now on 1.2.4. my system was on 1.0.4 or something, i first did 1.2.0 and that adds the slic, then i went to 1.2.4 and everything is fine.

    saw some thread about it but not sure what it was cause never read it, but apparently someone was having issues to activate.

    I'm no expert - but does the "Invalid Windows License" suggest you are running the awd873 command from within windows ? If so, you need to restart the computer from a bootable DOS USB stick and run the command from DOS. Instructions on creating a bootable DOS USB stick are available elsewhere on the forum.
