Busykid508, I am trying to flash a Dell Inspiron 530 it is already a 1.0.18 bios and I am trying to flash in dos using these commands "AWDFLASH 713D1P53.BIN /py/sn/cc" without the quotes, I get a checksum error and it will not update. Is there a switch I am missing? Do you have any suggestions as to proceed? SOLVED: I used awdflash893.exe renamed to awdflash.exe and renamed the 713D1P53_SLIC.BIN to backup.bin and the command "awdflash.exe backup.bin" without the quotes. It updated to slic 2.1 fine.
it works now. i had to change the method from "dynamic" to "SSV2". sorry for all the spam in the middle. thanks for all the howto's
