Eh ... maybe I was unclear: Is there a Bios (A06) for Dell XPS M2010 with Slic 2.1 Mod available for download? A link to that download would be nice.

I am using the hdr tool from dtk2.rar downloaded from another thread here, and using WinHex, I found the offset that the ICH9R option rom starts at in the XPS420-A07.hdr file, it starts at 5A685. How do I know what the module type and section types are? Is it B and 08? Something different? How do I determine where the next section/module starts? Can I use the .bin file with the hdr tool? I have the ICH9R version 8.7.9.1007 bin file, and if I use lzss-r.exe to convert to a .rom, its all garbled and doesn't resemble the code I see in the split-out .rom files. All I think I need to do is figure out where the next module starts, and what the section and module types are, and I can build a new bios that has ICH9R 8.x firmware in it and my SSD should work. I appreciate any help. Thanks
I have not been able to get this guy to work. I successfully flash the bios but it doesn't register as a 2.1 slic table. When I unpack this, I never see a file named bios_slic.rom, only bios.rom. It has a later date than the one in the original bios folder, but I've been unable to make it work. I know this is an old post and others have had luck but I am struggling. Please help! Vostro 1510 2.1 Bios
Hello Everyone! I have a few questions about my situation to which maybe someone can help I'm running a Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P board with Vista Ultimate on a 1TB Seagate. I bought a 40 gig SSD drive that I want to run WIN7 on in combination with the current drive in AHCI. Thus, I'm planning on flashing the BIOS with a Dell 2.1 SLIC since gigabyte boards don't have SLIC. I do plan on backing up my stuff and I do have a CMOS clearing switch, but I want to be safe and not sorry. Anyone have any trouble with flashing BIOS in such a configuration? The current OS doesn't have a SLIC and operates with a licensed version of VISTA. Could I brick the computer by doing this?
