Thanks, guys! I won't have physical access until Monday. I was unsuccessful trying to convert the USB stick exe into a disk image that would boot with a Lantronix Spider. I've booted with the Lantronix Spider many times, so I'm guessing my problem is in creating a bootable image. I tried WinImage and Infrarecorder, but no booty. I'll be patient and try it on Monday unless someone can provide a link to a bootable CD or floppy image file.

    Dell XPS 630i 2.1

    Hi,

I've been googling around the 'net for a SLIC 2.1 for my Dell XPS 630i 1.0.13

All the links I've clicked on are dead.

I have tried manually modding the BIOS using the Phoenixtool 1.95, but I get the following:

'Attempt to see if OLD Dell BIOS by extracting HDR file?'
(Ensure you have set the memory size to 640/16384/16384 in File Right-click -> Properties)

If I click Yes, the BIOS executable runs and wants to flash the PC's BIOS, I had tried clicking cancel from within the BIOS flash program which then ends in the result:

    'HDR file not written'

If I click 'continue' from within the BIOS flasher (which has been executed by the Phoenix tool) the flash tool performs the flash operation.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
