Hi Tito, Just wanted to let you know that the mod for the 530 went fine, "Slic Dump Toolkit" showed same info as yours. I've just got to put Win7 on it now and all is well. (Do you think the vista drivers will suffice, for things like chipset, comms, ect....? Also thanks to urie for making it possible.
Thanks for the feedback... actual credits go to urie, as he modded bios Windows 7 automatically installs most of the drivers. For chipset, use the latest drivers from Intel. Also use Windows Update to update the drivers
Thanks Tito, Most everything works, except no audio, and from dell there seems to be two choices, both are realtek, One is ALC888HD R180772.exe and the other one is REALTEK_ALC888-HD-AUDIO-FOR-_A02_R198473.EXE. Also put in an old Asus ati EAH4550 gfx card for the person I'm doing this for, I used the 32bit win7 drivers that were available, installed fine, but now i'm getting "Could not measure video playback performance" within windows experience test. It would have been nice to have used the proper drivers, but I may have to do a rollback which I setup b4 installing the ati drivers. sadsack -------------------------- You was right went to microsoft update and there was two new drivers available one for graphics card and one for audio, all working fine now. Even windows Aero is working on this old card.

Thank you for the quick reply! I unrar'ed the file and I saw two BIOS exe's: One has the original filename and the other ends with _SLIC I tried the _SLIC one and it would not launch stating "Program Payload Error" I tried restarting just as the error had suggested, but it would give the same error. The other exe runs fine however, but I didn't go through with it because it's most likely a non-SLIC 2.1 BIOS. As always, any help is appreciated. Thank you again!
