    It seems the dimension 4500 bios is not moddable :( (no replys yet). I used DAZ loader instead:thumbsup:

    have to make a backup as the hdr isnt extractable.. if its phoenix.. might not work.

    AIDA64 v2.50 tells me there is no SLIC tabel in the ACPI section in the bios..
    This particular laptop came with FreeDOS actually.
    Is it possible to insert SLIC into this bios? I've tried PhoenixTool260 but it didn't help me.

    or have to unhide slic with some EFI compatible tool

    Do you mean the "BIOS Backup Toolkit v2.0 by DavidXXW"? I seriously doubt that it will work on this dell laptop. I already tried it on modern asus board (based on intel z77 chipset). I backed up bios using the Toolkit and tried to flash bios with this image. EZ-Flash told me that "this is not the bios image file"...
    Well, anyway, I can try the "Toolkit" and mod the image using PhoenixTool, but how do I flash it back? Which utility should I use for this modern Dell?
    2. What utility do you mean by "unhide slic with some EFI compatible tool"? Please tell me the name so I can search for it.
