Hi, I didn't know anything about BIOS mods one hour ago, and now I have a question. I've got a Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720, and I am unable to switch completely from the iGPU to the dedicated nVidia graphics card. With nVidia optimus, the graphics card switches automatically when needed, but it's always the iGPU that displays on the screen. Through nVidia control pannel, I can choose which graphics card can be used with each program, but I can't choose which graphics card will be used in the end to display the picture on my screen. My question is : would a modded BIOS allow me to turn completely off the Intel iGPU, to always use the nVidia? Thanks in advance for your answers (if I get any), and I'm sorry if I'm not posting in the right thread or if my English is not perfect.
I have a huge request. I have a Dell Dimension 4700 ( the MicroATX version, not the slim "c" model), and I am trying to overhaul it. I have replaced everything but let's face it, the Pentium 4 Prescott CPUs are crap, and they run way too hot and draw too much power. What I am looking for is a modded BIOS that enables the Dimension 4700 to run a Cedar Mill CPU, specifically the Pentium 4 661 SL94V. I do not know how to create a modded BIOS myself, but I have seen it online that it HAS been done to some degree and I want to peak the system at its complete limit. My Dimension 4700 and I have been together for two divorces and several moves, and I am not quite ready to retire it yet due to sentimental value. The current BIOS is the official Dell A10 revision. If anyone can create me the BIOS I need you would not only be extending the life of my toy, you would be saving a vital member of my family. Thanks.
the wire breaks inside due to wrapping it arround charger.. do instead shoelace style to prevent preasure on wires.
