Can someone please post an updated link to the Dell Dimension E510 molded slic2.1 bios please? All the other links are down.
Rename A05MXG51_SLIC.EXE to A05MXG51.EXE, copy it to the pure DOS bootable media, boot to DOS and run A05MXG51.EXE
Nevermind, finally I found a valid link on the forum. Strange enough, my DELL Optiplex 755 (with the BIOS MOD with SLIC 2.1) is reported as unsupported by this tool, however the old asset.com utility is working, I can get the TAG (wich was the correct one) I can rewrite the same TAG... but still 3 days left to activate Win7 Pro E. L.E: Finally, after reading more on the forum I issued this command 'asset PASS:12/31' and after first restart came that black screen with the ALT+F keys combination to reset at factory level and after that at the first boot to Windows 7 the DELL desktop finnally 'give up' and the genuine logo made his way up to the surface Good job... this really made my day!
I will try that, just now I am in the process of installing Win XP SP3 (just for fun). But if I can get that report on Win XP I will post here the results.
