Dell - Phoenix/EFI Manual Mod Thread

    hi serg i already tested the bios dellbiosreset and also dellstcd it boots up but after type y to confirm change service tag
    nothing more happen.. after reboot nothing changed.....
    Also tested the svctag.exe with that i got error : unable to get SMBIOS GPNV information.
    So my last hope was the bios from busykid....
    or maybe you have another hint Serg008? Ty

    Hehe thank you again, confirm working on Dell Vostro 1720 flashed with "DOS, type: ph161700 /x /FORCE /O /C /S BIOS.ROM <ENTER>"
    so above file work for Vostro 1320,1520,1720

    Just trying to help out here, so, what browser are you using, KR|MSON? I'm using a Chromium browser, and I'm able to download the file ok, without signing up or logging in.

    Hi 99dej,

    I am using the latest Internet Explorer on windows 7.There are 2 links on the page,one in the centre and another in the top-right corner and if i click em nothing happens.
    I will try another browser and see if that works.

    Internet Explorer seemed to be the problem.Tried Google Chrome and it started downloading the file immediately.

    I'll try the slic 2.1 Bios and confirm if it works fine.

    I had no success using the existing tools...
    May I be so bold as to ask how this was done? Or was it a strictly manual effort?

    Just curious...
