Please I need help to upgrade firmware of Dell Vostro 3460 (Phoenix Firmware).
Actually this notebook has FW version 3460_A13.
From Dell Support I`ve downloaded all off FW´s available and I received the next message when I tried to upgrade:
Error 216 - Failed to read Bios from ROM Status = 1604

Different ways or methods (from DOS and Windows) with same results.

    System Model: Vostro 3460
    Board: Dell 0J1V31 A00
    Board S/N: CN486433110212
    UEFI: Dell A13 10/18/2012

Sorry for the delay; No go. SlIC Toolkit says there's no SLIC table to be found. I flashed in DOS. I'll try a reinstall 'cause the key it's finding isn't the key it should be using (and slmgr will not let me change it, but it *WILL* allow me to change the certificate).
Worst-case scenario, I'll use DAZ's loader and just kill the updates. Thank you for the attempt and I'll post an update if any!
Maybe I'll try that Dell Reset. I'm not afraid of bricking this thing. ;-)

Flash from Windows - run BiosUpdate_D800_A13.exe as Administrator (right mouse click - as Administrator).
After reboot check Slic with Slictoolkit.
Make RWE report for this mod and upload it, please
