Oh okay, thank you for taking the time to reply. I thought from reading the thread the original requestor was able to successfully flash the bios so I thought it was worth giving it a try and maybe there was a chance it would work.

Unfortunately the bios wouldn't install, the lifecycle controller log shows the bios was rejected due to a failed validation check. I am going to try for a little longer and see if there is another way to flash the bios bypassing the check, but even if there is not. Thank you for modding and posting the bios, I am very grateful.
I'm trying to get the the filename required for insyde bios boot block recovery on an Acer A717-72g notebook. I understand the slic tool can get that information. When I open PhoenixTool.exe and select the bios update exe from Acer, the tool returns "HDR file not written". How can I get that filename information?
