    Does the modded SLIC 2.1 remains after performing official BIOS updates in future?

    I wouldn't think so it would really depend on what modules are updated in bios

    If I update to slic 2.1 and then wanted to eventually reinstall win xp, would I be able to? And if not then would I be able to if I first flashed my bios with an official dell bios update/revision if what you said above is true?

    9400/E1705 clarify

    I downloaded 9400/E1705 DOS kit, file name 8400-e1705.zip (8 just a typo).
    There are 3 files: bios.gz, batch file, dell exe file.
    The batch command is MP061A09 -writegzfile.

    I have read some tutorials, they all use -readgzfile,
    Why -writegzfile here? anything special for 9400/E1705 ?

    BIOS flash is a very serious matter, I am very careful.

    1) Please check that mod version was flashed. In the package are two versions original and modded.
    2) Post RW-Everything Slic output

    Thanks for the response, when you get a working mod let me know, I'll post it in the start of this thread, everybody with a dell seems to be coming here (I probably would too)
