Here is RW Everything dump from PowerEdge 840. I guess it makes sense that the SLIC would be different on the server line.

I wonder if any PowerEdge models have been released with 2.1 SLIC already? Anyone know?

Thanks shakey for taking a look.

Hey shakey were you able to mod the D620 BIOS to say A11?
Going to test out the revised 755 BIOS, I hope the motherboard doesn't brick. If it does, oh well - I got 2 years of warranty left.

Thanks, had one report, I believe that boot screen bug is fixed now...
    Please confirm
PS, Dou you have warranty on the d620? I could change some instances of A10 to A11, but I don't know what the results would be... I may brick it? I have not tried messing with that. Are you sure you would want that? Would that be worth it?

Anyone did a bios mod for this model yet? Would be nice if someone is willing to do it.

    Cheers

XPS 420 Windows Flasher, worked flawless.

Latitude D830 Windows Flasher, worked great, (it did take a few minutes first POST after flashing. subsequent reboots booted normally.

overwrite the old ones (the guide says to "correct" not add them), or request here...

Thanks for the feedback, only like 6 or 7 need feedback now... I believe it is normal for it to take a long time to boot the first time after a bios flash, seems even longer if it is a modded bios

    Hello,

I just applied the DELL D620 mod. I suppose it was successfull since the flasher run as usually and I see the correct slic 2.1 in RW-everything.

However, after installing the DELL OEM cert, I am not able to use the OEM key from Lenovo, either online or offline (it says the key is invalid, no more).

I suppose my mistake is to have first attempted to do it online and now the system has written somewhere this key is invalid ?

I'm really unlucky since I also own a MAK key for win 7 professional which is not working on ultimate version. It really annoys me to reinstall and I don"t know if the MAK key works on Win 7 Enterprise. If you have any idea...

    Thanks for reading !

EDIT: Sorry for the noise, I found out that a previous crack was not really uninstalled... D620 mod works like a charm

    XSDT Emulated?

I loaded the Dell Optiplex 745 slic 2.1 file from here and Win7 is activated.

    But...

Why does it show the XSDT table as (emulated) in Everest? Could MS detect this as a hack later?

    MSBT

I am sure there is lots of things MS could do to detect these and probably other modded bioses but they do pass the MS activation method... Perhaps these may be a bit more suspect than say the others but we still have time to fine tune these mods before Windows 7 SP1......

I have an army of D620s still under warranty - feel free to hack the BIOS.
