    Probably you have lo*der installed, 7 won't activate if both lo*der installed and SLIC present (from what I have read in this thread), so you must uninstall loader, install cert and serial (if you haven't already)
    thats my guess

    Dell Optiplex 755 BIOS A14 - activated, shows Dell logo
    Dell Latitude D630 BIOS A16 - activated, but Explorer kept crashing after the BIOS flash - will investigate further

    you see that in the e5500 bios and every one that already has SLIC 2.1 in it, it is the compressed form of 01 00 02 00 .....
    SLIC 2.0 has 20 02 1C 04 21 ....... after the WINDOWS string

    maker slic 2.1 of your tutor is different with marker that i get from Dell slic 2.1 ( in zip file ).

    20 01 02 --> Compressed string number.
    I need to find the similar maker. In case if using 01 00 02 00, W7 is not activated ?

    the marker in zip file is not compressed, in the bios it is compressed, I am not sure what would happen if you used 01 00 02 00 ...., I felt no need to test that at this point..

    which version of the mod did you use, and have you tried the other version, have you tried flashing back to old bios, please let us know what you may find out, thanks. That is the original mod though, I would suspect that many others have tested it, but if you can determine anything (or not) please report back
    -thanks

    Maker of Optilex 760 is ABh bytes, not AAh bytes. Dell knows us and changes marker

    Yes, I have done so several times with the 6400 Inspiron, have no reports otherwise. You may have to downgrade to a previous version, then install the latest Dell version though..

    machine was taken from me, no can do

    BUT i did it on a different d630 and that worked, no problems.

    btw i had to run the 755 bios twice for it to flash correctly for some reason
