    Thanks for help.
Just purchase Gigabyte EX58-UD3R Mainboard with i7-920 2.66G HZ 8M cache.
    And modded to Dell SLIC2.1.
    Now I happy with it.
    Thank a lot.

Dell XPS 700 BIOS DXG061 SLIC HELP REQUIRED !!!

    Guy’s
I have an Original Sell XPS 700 rig running 590i Sli board. I have upgraded of the years sli 8800gtx, 8 GB ram, quad core extreme. I really need to activate Windows 7 as vista has almost sent me rehab.

I have tried the xps 710 version 1.4.1 mod slic 2.0 to 2.1 with no success; I have changed my Bios between the DXG061 1. 1.16 & 1.41 with no joy, as per Slic dump still 2.0.

Has anyone had success with this build? Is there a slic mod for BIOS DXG0611 instead of XPS710.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Dave

Are you sure your Studio 540 has a Phoenix BIOS. I wonder because my one has an AMI BIOS. I would more be interested in a SLIC2.1 version of the A12 BIOS version, because updating from A09 to A12 reduced the noise of the CPU fan a lot. The Studio is much more silent now.

to be honest with you i think it is AMI BIOS however i have seen people refer to it as phoenix and also i have seen they asked for it in this very forum.
all i can tell you is that it was already on my system when i got it from dell.:D
