used optiplex 360 moded from here to relatives pc, but it still on SLIC 2.0? any help. iv seen few ppl saif they activated. then why this optiplex 360 still says 2.0 after bios update
couple things to try, either the flasher has to be run as administrator or not flashing because the current bios is the same version - in that case downgrade to a previous version first..
in .EXE file 222_4M.bin from offset 27FD3h to D790Ah : cut and paste to a new .BIN file 222_8M.bin from offset D790Bh to the end of file : cut and paste to a new .BIN file using award tool , Dell manufacture, default options. Is it correct ?
222_4M.BIN starts at 17FD3h - 97FD2h, I got the bin files for Dimension C521 and XPS Dimension 630i, will upload the mods in the next couple days, I was stumped on the same, look for the start and the end using either the modded bios or the dump as reference, keep in mind the first two bytes are checksums and will change whenever the bios is changed..
