BIOS update i have an inspiron 530 currently with dell 1.0.18(latest version) , when i trying to update to the mod bios, it said "you are trying to write a same version of BIOS to the system!" and the program quits, anyway to force it to update the BIOS?
You can't download first it will say that you have newer version of bios and wont downgrade you need to flash from dos with bootable usb drive and use switches. awdflash.exe 713D1P53.bin /py/sn/cc
hello, can someone tell me how to use the mini 9 rom i tried last night using winphlash but ended up bricking my mini opps, im waiting for a usb floppy drive to arrive and hopefully i can reflash back and get it working again. but obviously i want to try again so some instructions for a moron like me might help. thanks
OK, please keep us up to date, perhaps it was just one of those things and maybe it would have bricked with any bios update (in which case it should be warranty), or perhaps they did something different in which case I can post instructions...
