I feel like we need another thread for link reposts because as a previous poster said the majority of the new requests are for reposting. sendspace seems to kill these off, unfortunately.

If you are requesting a repost, try seeing who originally asked for it, it may be that that person still has what you need.

    Thanks for the info.

Your original instructions were clear the first time.

I was just interested in learning more. I had attempted to extract the HDR file from the original BIOS without any luck using various cmd line switches. I was curious how you accomplished it.

Regarding, the mod tool, I appreciate why it’s not available.

I found my first modded BIOS (NF-M2 nView award SLIC 2.0) in this community. When I need to upgrade this BIOS to SLIC 2.1, using the tools and what I had learned from this community, I was successfully able mod it myself.

Ultimately, I’d like to be able to do the same thing for my other systems in the future. As the saying goes; give a man to fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him forever.

Anyways, I appreciate your hard work and thank you for the help. Regards

Right..but we are not going to give you the gun to shoot yourself in the foot either...See??:D:D

When the tool is right and problems are minimal, AndyP may release the tool. We are not trying to keep it a secret, just make it safe. Bricked boards are a PITA..Right???:D

It seems like people here are little sensitive ... I didn't ask for the mod tool again or accuse anyone of keeping it a secret.

    I did respond:

I guess I shouldn't have gone on to explain why I originally asked for the information or link to the tool.

I also agree that a bricked board can be a PITA. However, if someone is not ready to accept that as a consequence, they probably shouldn't be here in the first place. I've never seen a warranty expressed or implied here:) If you brick it, you can't expect or demand that anyone here fix it for you. If they do, count your lucky stars.

As for shooting oneself in the foot, I know and weight the risks and accept the responsibility and consequences for my decisions. I personally wouldn't flash a modded bios unless I was prepared to purchase a new board.

    I'm sorry for asking....

You do not have to apologize for asking...there was nothing wrong with it....you have to understand that this tool has been a long time in the making and it has flaws and errors and it can shoot you in the foot....

Your argument is that I am prepared to buy a new motherboard if I flash a modified bios but not everyone on this board is able to do that....

We have a variety of members who are from different countries and not everyone has the resources or money to buy a new motherboard.

This tool is about to go through a major revolution according to the inventor and we do not want you to brick your computer....believe me, I have bricked others' computers using this tool and I did not feel good about it.

Can someone upload the files for DELL Latitude D430?

The Dell D430 links to sendspace & rapidshare are no longer active.

Can someone please place the files someplace or email these directly to gspannu@msn.com and I'll upload them to rapidshare.

    Thank you...
