yes i did. anyway when i tried to flashback with the original bios, everest is telling me the same thing, SLIC Version : Unknown and i'm sure it came back to slic 2.0 cause windows 7 became unactivated. so it's not a problem of the modded bios as the original bios gives me the same result. now i'm back with the slic 2.1 and windows 7 is activated again. it's just everest that is unable to tell the slic version of the M1330 with slic 2.0 or slic 2.1 thanks.
same thing happened to a friend with an m1330. when using everest it showed unknown.. same with extreme loader it showed unknown. but using SLIC_dump_toolkit it was able to show slic2.0 before bios update and slic2.1 after update
Yes, the DCCU flashers have to be run in admin mode, the rebuilt Dell flash utility does not require you to specifically request admin rights and does not require renaming if used in the windows environment. If however you wish to use it in Dos (the Dell utility) I would recommend giving it a name 8 letters or less in size, any name as long as it is 8 letters or less..
