I would like to add only 1 language pack (. Cab) in the ISO from Lenovo do not know how. Can anyone tell me. Thank you!
the file is in the OEM/setup/scripts/ folder on the iso you downloaded ,named SLP .right click it and hit edit you will see the key used.
Garbage please search forums dell OEM dvd was posted a while back, and someone even posted the $OEM$ folders it was just from a modified DELL vista DVD.
I downloaded this and installed on my Latitude. I: renamed the ei.cfg file so all versions of 7 would display on install deleted the lang packs and modified lang.ini to remove them from being displayed in the installer. changed the key in the slp.cmd file to that of Ultimate (listed in the sticky thread here). Well, it works. Typing this now on Win7 Ultimate, activated. The install.wim file in the torrent is 3.2GB. The install.wim in a trial of Win7 Enterprise (final) I have at work is 2GB. Both 32bit. So I'm not sure what's making up the extra 1.2GB of stuff in the torrent wim file. I'm running out of time to mess with this any more tonight. I will have to poke around in the wim files and compare. What would be cool, is to find a way to modify the slp.cmd script to detect the version of Windows chosen during the first part of the install, to automatically choose the matching key. Or has someone already figured this out?
Well isn't that a peach? Had to look that one up. I never got into customizing the Vista images so learning a lot of new stuff here. Thanks!
May be a silly question, but why not just make a dell specific ISO using the official MS ISO. Unless you know the hash from dell's disk you have no way of knowing if this has been tampered with. If you don't know the original dell hash then you have NO idea if this is legit. Some of you guys love playing Russian Roulette with torrents. Last thing I want to do on a sunday is download 4+ gb worth of ISO that any of us can create in ten minutes with the information available here.
