Hello My Dell XPS M1530 display is not working. I have windows XP on it. The windows boot normaly (i can hear the windows sound) but no image on display at all. The image is not present at all even when i start the laptop. I have tried with an external monitor but nothing. There are 2 possibilities: the display or the gpu. If it is the gpu fault it is possible to load the windows and works like nothing happened?
yes as the chipset has 200 or so solder balls and all it takes is the right one to be unsoldered to give no video. reflow it with kester 951 no clean flux and see if it works in external/internal ports.
