Right, bit more info. Just realised that if my SLIC is reporting correctly, then it must be the key that has now expired. I've opened up the loader, it automatically selected to Dell for SLIC/Certificate/Serial and then changed the product key to that serial. All is valid again.
I honestly can't remember. All I do remember doing is following an article on here and edited the slic from 2 to 2.1 by altering the characters. That screenshot does show though that I'm on A07 and 2.1
Paddy in the start of this thread i did say i knew straight away when you installed the hotfix and then became not valid it was the key you were using levono blacklisted one, it is not brain surgery here on my part after months of peeps having the same problem you get to know these things but i still don't know if your bios is modded i think it maybe but that is why i did say uninstall loader and then run slic dump toolkit, so we could see if you had slic 2.1 in bios.
yep Urie, unfortunately it was a fair while ago, when win7 first came out that I did this, and I've slept since then lol. I'm guessing that was the key I used, if it was only one of a few that was around at the time. Doesn't the screenshot above show that the bios is hacked to 2.1? Current status is no loader and microsoft validated copy. I get all my updates anyway through my coporate WSUS server and that is all working ok as well.
@ Paddy, excellent thanks for the images glad you are sorted out. If loader was used it would probably still show SLIC e.c.t that is why i asked you to uninstall loader and do screen shots so we would know if slic was in bios.
so the screenshots of slic toolkit were made with no loader installed on the machine ? if yes so we finally know that the bios is modded
