I had to use last known config last night on my laptop because a video card driver failed after installation, upon re-entering windows I lost the use of the touchpad, keyboard and video driver.

the touchpad says code 10 cannot start

the keyboard says code 39 missing or corrupt driver

and the video card refuses to work due to a code 43

anyone know how to fix these annoying errors, I removed all the devices and they were re-dectected but still not working.

also I noticed the filerespoitory folder has only system & everyone under permissions, but on my pc the same folder has all user, admin, trusted installer etc....is this a problem as well?

    Which OS do you have?
Have you checked to see if security update 905749 was installed on your computer?

windows 7, doing a repair install right now, I downloaded one of those sp1 images since my install is already uptodate. original copy doesn't work because it says installed version is newer, obviously.
