I did that back when I was 19, I had in growing toenails back then. So when they injected in both sides of my big toes I swore good.

Now because of the pain and deformity in both of my hips, i cannot even reach to cut my toenails. Plus they are in sorry shape, especially the right toe.

    @Enthousiast

My best wishes that the Bevacizumab/Avastin can slow down the process (ideally but hopefully stop it/slow it significantly down at current level)
My dear friend, i hope your doctor session on Friday can be "somewhat happy in feedback" and the August evaluation will be "on your side".
I'm out of "intelligent" words in this context, but trust me, I think about you and this and, well, :hug2::hug2::hug2:

If i was you i would swear till i got banned and beyond... :) but you still look good.
    (awaiting updates in near future)

:hug2: to you and your wife :sun:

    Kind regards my friend
    :)

    Update:

The other week i had a checkup and the faulty eye has kinda stabilised, the eye treatment frequency now is one injection every 6 weeks and after 2 another inspection,

The inspections now are more aimed at the "good" eye, i asked for a second opinion a few weeks ago, it's at a specialized eye hospital (Oogziekenhuis Rotterdam).

At the request, my local eyedocter, wrote to the hospital i've read that my problems were first noticed in 2023 by a scan made not in the hospital but i was directed to go to the eyedoctor in the hospital to check again.

That eyedoctor was very concerned when she got the letter from the eyescan but when she did her own scan and visual checkup she was not that concerned anymore, she even told that the damage noticed outside of the hospital was not really anything to be concerned about.

BUT when the stupid doctor had combined this with me bing a diabetic patient with a long time high bloodsugar she maybe could have informed me to go to a internist for better diabetes treatment (i did that myself 6months later because i noticed the metformine not doing its job very well anymore).

My eyesite back then was 90/70 (good eye/bad eye), now the local eyedoctor noticed 4 weak spots in my good eye, so that will become a wet eye too at some time, i am taking AREDS 2 supplements to feed all needed vitamines to my eye and next month my bloodsugar (hba1c) will be checked again, last check it was down to 78, needs to go a bit lower though, let's hope at next check it will be a few points lower again.

I didn't get a response from the specialized eye hospital yet.

@Enthousiast I hope the blood sugar levels have gone down when it's checked. Glad the faulty eye has stabilized. I just got the results for my diabetic eye screening and thankfully no damage to my eyes, just got to keep on taking the Metformin and heart meds. Also scheduled for another blood test to check my blood sugar levels.

By avoiding eating starches, ie grains. Bread, Pasta, Potatoes, Rice, Cereals.
Cook only in natural fats, Butter, Lard, Dripping, Olive oil and other nut oils.
Eating low carb. Carbs specifically starches are long chain Glucose molecules,
easily broken down by the body into Glucose. as diabetics our sugar regulation
system is wonky and cannot cope with large amounts of Glucose. We keep our blood
sugars down by not putting sugar into the system, (you don't throw fuel onto a fire to put
    it out).
as a diabetic, everything you've ever been told to eat as being healthy, ISN'T.
Conversely everything you've been told is unhealthy ie Meat and fats, is the perfect food
for us, and surprise surprise, the human body thrives on it.
Try researching the Keto diet, this will tell you exactly what foods are good for you.
The human body requires absolutely nothing from Carbs. We can get every nutrient
and micro nutrient needed from other sources.
