    That's a VM.

Anyone have a tweak to get taskmanager to start with the details tab? I no longer see Set default tab in the Options and the Reg for that doesn't work for me either. Microsoft Windows LTSC [Version 10.0.17763.4851]

Never knew that VM can still able to install XP...
Time to use VM... As these latest mobo don't support win 7. Me stuck in win 10 & 11 :-/

If you look earlier in this thread I posted a screenshot from NT3.51, but you can install practically anything in a WM, albeit for older 16bit OSes emulators like DOSbox can be a better choice.

    That's sounds nice.
Actually I heard many time about VM but never given a try... Now I think, time has come to give a shot to VM.
And what WM? You mean VM nah

Fundamentally you have the choice between VMware Workstation (or player), virtualbox and Hyper-V.

What's better for your case depends a lot on what you want to install and what you're going to do with the VM.

For personal use WMware was usually the best choice, but vbox has improved a lot in the last years.

Hyper-V was historically better suited for machines running in background (say a virtualized AD controller).

The argument is huge, better to discuss it in a dedicated thread in the virtualization room.

AFAIK LTSC 2019 (aka 1809 aka 17763) didn't have it, ever. It's a feature that came later.

Yeah I think so. I don't have a 1809 handy but for sure 1803 lacked that feature (perhaps another of such things silently added, not that easy to spot)
