I've been trying to run a Tor relay with Debian 9.1. I logged into the router and the modem to open the respective ports, also opened the port with iptables. Still the logs won't confirm that my relay is reachable. It fails and tells me to check firewalls again. I'm out of ideas now.

First question. Do I need to use DirPort in order to be a relay? I didn't set that, and the top 10 relays at Atlas show that they do. I'll post my torrc soon.

So how did you do it?
