Over the course of the last couple of days i've been trying to install DirectX and I keep getting this error. "An internal error occured. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder to determine the problem" The log; Code: -------------------- [10/21/14 17:14:03] module: DXWSetup(Mar 30 2011), file: dxwsetup.cpp, line: 229, function: CDXWSetup::InitInstallEngine Sections are not initialized. -------------------- [10/21/14 17:14:03] module: DXWSetup(Mar 30 2011), file: psheets.cpp, line: 705, function: PreinstDlgProc CDXWSetup::InitInstallEngine() failed. I've looked everywhere, but every fix i've tried, doesn't work. It would be highely appreciated if someone could help me, thanks in advance
What do you mean with that? I've downloaded it from the microsoft site. Got the .exe file, tried to install, got the error.
Open DirectX Diagnostic Tool by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, typing dxdiag in the search box, and then pressing Enter. 1. Check your video card 2. Check your game controller 3. Check for "unsigned" drivers
If you haven't try this instead, Go to the microsoft download center and download DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010), extract and then run the dxsetup.exe to install.
