Has anyone managed to disable the "always ask before opening this file" message whenever you try to open a file downloaded from the internet?
This is a security measure for dumb people, It could be useful for my grandfather, but I know what files to run and which ones not, it only irritates me having to click on that window.

I've tried different registry hacks for Vista but they don't seem to work in Windows 7.

Group Policy Option (Run... gpedit.msc )

Group Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates >
    Windows Components > Attachment Manager.

Enable "Do not preserve zone information in file attachments".

    .... no reboot required.

It doesn't work for files that i've already downloaded (only for new ones after changing that setting). No biggy though. Thanks a lot!
