The (KB3135445) was unistalled completelly by The script "W10-Uninstall.cmd" but the another script "W10-Hide.cmd" cannot to hide it , what about of that? it is telemetry or not?
It's update for Windows Update Client harmless, since the W10 upgrade through WU is over and the "Remove and Hide" method no longer very effective Monthly Rollup already contain most components, which can be easily neutralized
Hello, thanks for this, the script just starts and after 5 seconds of processing tweaks it just closes, what am I doing wrong ? I did start it as admin.
KB2952664 and KB2976978 are now part of the Windows 7/8.1 Monthly Rollup insidious move but on the other hand, block script stand still
I had avoided installing KB2952664, but for others I did not keep attention. Should I search for installed updates for KB2976978 and uninstall it? Also I have block script in schedule set for every startup (black window pop up for moment and say "processing telemetry blocking tweaks"). Is that right block, one you mention in your post?? And one more note.. I do not know why but I can't install Security quality monthly rollup, anything newer than 12/2017. I mean, I can install it, but than when Windows need to boot it say there is some hardware or software problem (can't remember exactly), offer some repair, but there I stuck and can't go further (and have to do complete Win install again). That is happening on my desktop pc. On one laptop, interesting, but all updates work including latest Security quality monthly rollup. On other one laptop, it was able to get latest Security quality monthly rollup during 2018, but now, in last months, it can't (same problem as with desktop is happening).
KB2976978 is for Windows 8.1 both are the main intrusive updates to avoid consult hardware expert or shop
Yes, I had search today through list of installed updates, and did not find KB2976978. I installed everything, except KB2952664, and except latest Monthly rollup (as I mentioned already, because I can't). I'm not covered by any shop because I made desktop pc from parts myself, only way to research why I can't install latest update is to do more research myself or to look about it with some expert as you mention (if I can find anyone in my country ). On every pc I use Win7 with blocking script and some more tricks, but on one other pc, for some reasons, I will have to install Win10. I know it if offtopic here in Win7 forum, I already post in Windows 10 Telemetry thread, but still no answers there. I'm not familiar with Win10, so I need at least some basic directions. I have no idea is there any blocking script like this one in Win7. So far, I installed Win10 Enterprise N LTSC 2019 on one spare ssd (before end of install, of course, I disabled everything which Win installation asked), and do plenty of tricks which I found on internet. But I do not know is some blocking script needed also or something else. If you can tell me any basic directions, where and what to ask or search, it would great
Maybe you need to add the registry keys telling your antivirus is ready for Spectre & Meltdown fixes. If you don't use an AV, the key will not be added and updates since Jan. 2018 will not install. Run this in cmd: reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\QualityCompat" /f /v "cadca5fe-87d3-4b96-b7fb-a231484277cc" /t REG_DWORD /d 0
Hi fellas, @abbodi1406 I am using an ISO made by god murphy78 that is supposed to have clipped telemetry updates. Yet your code caught KB3138612. I do not find any extended info related to any kind telemetry procedure yet it shocked me as I use this setup for quite a while now. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
Upgrade through WU is ended, KB3138612 and other WUC updates are harmless regular updates now and they already superseded by KB3172605 or latest Monthly Rollup
Thank you for your excellent work and quick response. I may sleep in peace now. Farewell gods of internet.
what W10-Block.cmd script is the newest updated? the one from first link on OP or the one in rar file with other two scripts?
