Yep, just did another clean install and tried installing MSE after patching, and now it won't even install. Tried Compatibility mode and all.
Also I can't seem to get the wallpaper to automatically apply to the login screen, but at least it's auto-coloring . I copied my aero.theme, edited to look like this: Code: ; Copyright © Microsoft Corp. [Theme] ; Windows 7 - IDS_THEME_DISPLAYNAME_AERO DisplayName=@%SystemRoot%\System32\themeui.dll,-2013 SetLogonBackground=1 ; Computer - SHIDI_SERVER [CLSID\{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}\DefaultIcon] DefaultValue=%SystemRoot%\System32\imageres.dll,-109 ; UsersFiles - SHIDI_USERFILES [CLSID\{59031A47-3F72-44A7-89C5-5595FE6B30EE}\DefaultIcon] DefaultValue=%SystemRoot%\System32\imageres.dll,-123 ; Network - SHIDI_MYNETWORK [CLSID\{F02C1A0D-BE21-4350-88B0-7367FC96EF3C}\DefaultIcon] DefaultValue=%SystemRoot%\System32\imageres.dll,-25 ; Recycle Bin - SHIDI_RECYCLERFULL SHIDI_RECYCLER [CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\DefaultIcon] Full=%SystemRoot%\System32\imageres.dll,-54 Empty=%SystemRoot%\System32\imageres.dll,-55 [Control Panel\Cursors] AppStarting=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_working.ani Arrow=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_arrow.cur Crosshair= Hand=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_link.cur Help=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_helpsel.cur IBeam= No=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_unavail.cur NWPen=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_pen.cur SizeAll=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_move.cur SizeNESW=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_nesw.cur SizeNS=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_ns.cur SizeNWSE=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_nwse.cur SizeWE=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_ew.cur UpArrow=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_up.cur Wait=%SystemRoot%\cursors\aero_busy.ani DefaultValue=Windows Aero [email protected],-1020 [Control Panel\Desktop] Wallpaper=%SystemRoot%\web\wallpaper\Windows\img0.jpg TileWallpaper=0 WallpaperStyle=10 Pattern= [VisualStyles] Path=%ResourceDir%\Themes\Aero\Aero.msstyles ColorStyle=NormalColor Size=NormalSize AutoColorization=1 Transparency=1 [boot] SCRNSAVE.EXE= [MasterThemeSelector] MTSM=RJSPBS [Sounds] ; IDS_SCHEME_DEFAULT SchemeName=@%SystemRoot%\System32\mmres.dll,-800 Renamed to AeroLogon.theme and placed it back into the Themes folder, but no joy.
Dunno, never tried it before, just the auto color and that worked. It seemed pretty straight forward, dunno what the problem is.
I'm going to try to see if it's really bluepill related bug. About MSE, yes it's true, latest version of BluePill isn't compatible with it, trying to fix this for BlackZer0.
LOL, didn't really feel like reinstalling...again but ok Edit: Wait a minute.. that don't work, how can I try that feature without patching it to unlock it first? LOL.. almost restarted to reinstall, too.
Sorry ReelFiles, I'm really clueless with that post-beta testing bugs, but I'm trying to track them down, just be patient.
I just don't understand about MSE, it started to say "Windows isn't genuine", I removed BluePill and installed it again, MSE gave no more genuine related errors, I left my PC alone, "Windows isn't genuine" again... About SetLogonBackground, I tried and didn't work, seems that this new Windows 8 functionality still unsupported by BluePill, an issue that will be solved soon. (I hope at least)
Well, you aren't hurting me. I think at least that if BlackZer0 is trying to fix the redpill's bugs and is giving credit for the person who made the stuff he didn't made (in installer it says "some credits to scooby"), so there isn't anything wrong with his work. I'm just a beta tester of BluePill, nothing more. For BluePill users, MSE still giving headaches, unfortunately...
First: @Claysoft65 Do yourself a favor and gtfo, it is not "1 characters edit" Try this method of getting MSE to work, no guarantees: 1) Clean-Install 2) Activate Windows 8 3) Install MSE 4) Unlock If that doesn't work, i'll be back later in the day with a new patch
Already tried that and every variation thereof. If you install it before, it just shows up non-genuine after you patch. It's fine in Systemcpl, just MSE bitching. Avast is a decent alternative that works fine.
