Forgot about Iobit, I have used their stuff in the past, bit like Ashampoo, they wont give up until they have all their software on your PC, good software its just the hard sell bit I don't like.
now what particular installer are they referring to? did this effect all downloadable versions or just the regular public installer?
you can install a 32 bit software on a 64 bit system, I've been running M$ Office that's 32 bit for years on my Windows 7 64
I not use long time installer from ccleaner just portable version where delete 32-bit exe and put in one folder on usb drive and when need for clean just push and clean and first create firewall rules for IN and OUT to Block exe.
Just read up on this- this morning and they (Avast) are stating that updating to a new version 5.34 will disable the malicious executable in the registry for CCleaner. Avast is also making the claim that it was Piriform's servers that got hacked and not theirs
