@ThomasMann: Truth is, I never noticed it until now, as I use a cookie crusher plugin for FireFox. On the top of the JetClean screen, there's a tab called "Settings". On the left side (near the bottom) click on "Ignore List". This allows you to ignore certain registry keys as well as cookies. I hope this helps.
The changelog makes no mention of "we've started to add tons of useless un-needed bloat". So for the moment we're still good to go. Changelog The Piriform team are happy to announce the latest release of CCleaner for Windows. CCleaner v5.33 brings improved Edge and Firefox cleaning. A list of changes can be found in the change log below. Change log: Settings Fixed an issue where Automatic Update continued to inform users of an existing update after the setting had been disabled Browser Cleaning Updated Edge cookie cleaning definitions to include new tables from Microsoft Fixed an issue in Firefox where extensions could not be deleted due to withdrawal of support for Netscape Plugin API Fixed an issue in Firefox & Thunderbird where cleaning 'Site Preferences' would also clean 'Last Download Location' Browser Plugins Browser Plugins list now saved as browserplugins.txt (not startup.txt) Disk Analyzer Fixed an issue where analysis results did not display the full filepath Stability Improved CCleaner launch sequence to resolve a UI lock
Sorry dude but you miss this one too, lol. Re-read my previous post and you'll get it, hope so. Btw I don't use real-time bs at all, neither Avast crap nor any sort of antivirus.
That kind of underhanded installer ----ery can sometimes be avoided by simply right clicking-extract with 7zip and seeing if it will run. Its whats inside the main executable that matters.
hi, i use ccleaner with ccenhancer, it's possible to stay with your old ccleaner and only update ccenhancer. What really change when they update ccleaner ?? it works as it works and always do the job. i use the portable version on a USB key.
Yep---- It is as simple as that. I rotate malwarebytes free and defender every secoond day, and inspite of my surfing record, NEVER anything posistive! And NOTHING, not even the most expensive AV-software will help you against zero day exploits. I also stopped updatig ccleaner awhile ago. Is there a reason to see a problem with that?
The point is that everyone ought to simply BOYCOTT all crap that abuses users... Sadly nowadays in the present that is an absurd idea.
There is suddenly a new problem with ccleaner. ccleaner used to delete ALL cookies when it cleans Firefox Now it suddenly decides not to delete a cookie, that I ceratinly never authorized to remain s.uicdn.com which comes from united internet, and which I certainly do not want. Anybody knows, why this is going on, and how to stop it? (F.e. is there an older version of ccleaner that can be used) Thank you
How can you get such a cookies if there is not such a site for a long time already? Info This server is in use but dont contain any websites. IP address 92.122.200.150 IP hostname a92-122-200-150.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com Domain name s.uicdn.com
Actually, they're worse than useless, as they can cause actual harm. One of the reasons my XP lasted almost 12 years without reinstallation, is because I never used them.
Hi Katz I'm happy to see around here and yep you are correct I remember old times of beloved Windows XP my system also stay for long long time without reinstallation happen one time because I got one virus (I'm drunk ) surfing in improper websites but returning to topic this "good Tools" always useless for me for ever
They added something to the installer? I always download portable version since installer did nothing on its part, unlike media players.
