If it is Akamai related, it might be Windows/IE cookie and when it is in use, it can not be removed. Where it is located? You can try this to see, if it gives any error message for it. Code: del "%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache" /s /f /q rd "%LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\WebCache" /s /q
Portable here. No additional exes around the main program. All files and structure as usual in this most recent version in portable format. No bloatware whatsoever. It seems Avast's doing a good job so far.
Doi you simply have no idea what you are talking about, or are they paying you? This cookie is from United Internet. They are one of the leading german ISPs, who also happen to own own GMX and WEB mail Also, the thread is called "Problem with ccleaner" Why does ccleaner not remove this one single cookie?
T Did you come here to start insult others or are you just a sick person? The problem is between your two ears, but not CCleaner isn't the reason. And there is no help if insulting others.
I get your point, but by asking if people are sick and stating the problem is their brain you don't do much more than insulting. Everyone, back to friendly non-insulting discussion please.
Although I do agree, there would be a very simple solution to this... I asked a very clear, easy to understand question, but this fellow in his first answer LIED. It is clearly a cookie of a huge german internet corporation, and in his second answer he was simply repeating the ususal phrases that such people tend to dish out, when called out to answer. Again, the question was: WHY DOES CCLEANER NOT DELETE THIS COOKIE ? What is complicated about this question, and why do people who have NO answer to a question, still find it necessary to reply?
@ThomasMann: It does sound like some sort of cooperation between United Internet and ccleaner (have you updated ccleaner? Can you get an older version of the program? ) As far as Firefox goes, I'm two updates back. I don't trust those sneaky buggers at all. "If it ain't broke...don't fix it."
I am checking out slimjet at the moment, so far, better than all the other alternatives to Firefox that were offered. I will also try out waterfox, but no 55 for Win yet available.. And I am using an older version of ccleaner...
Which is the best alternative to Ccleaner? There are quite a few suggestions here, I am leaning towards Glary Utilities as it is constantly updated. Some of the others appear to be gathering dust, a few seem unaware that Windows 10 has been released.
One of the great features of ccleaner is (was?) the possibility to choose which cookies to keep. Essential to location chnage, unless you enjoy restarting your computer everytime you use VPN.
