If you signed up just a few weeks ago, chances are your account is already invalid, those of us that signed up a few months ago during the initial 1 TB giveaway have until April 1 to either pay or jump ship.
Especially a Chinese cloud service. But that's beside the point... Dropbox and a couple other services + BoxCrypter (classic) = [more] comfortable security.
36TB :crystal: i dont know how many time exist this service but i think will have the same fate of Yunio for free users ps. lets make a account
Yeah yeah, maybe will have the same fate, nevertheless is worth to try. I mean the huge storage capacity they promise is quite attractive and in my personal case (I just want to save Windows isos only) I believe is worth the trial. Although if you know anything better that suits my needs please give me some advise.
How likely, do you guys think, is it for Yunio to shut down their services due to lack of customers or something...? Stupid as I am, I uploaded some important photos of mine at Yunio and now I don't know if I should wait for another "free event" or if I should get my files as quick as possible T_T ...
Barracuda's copy service is being discontinued: what we expect of a cloud storage service? Well, uncertainty… I think we must have: 1) a physic storage; 2) perhaps, dropbox, google drive, one drive… Well, I think so… but! Ideas, please!!!
Only really reliable Cloud Storage Service is one, which runs on my own Server! Such Server could be: own physical server placed in an Data Center leased physical Server VPS (Virtual Private Server), hired by some secure Hoster leased Storage space on a shared Server, rented from a Hoster, and using my own OS and Apps I use my own physical Server, placed in a Data Center and pay a Service Fee for Internet connection via ISP and so on. That's quite expensive, just I've 100% control over the full Server (Hard- and Software)! Before I was changing to my own server, I had leased one and used OwnCloud on Debian Linux, which is a very good Apps, as long as you just need for Data exchange. If you also need to use that server as Application Server, best (and cheapest) is your own physical Server. Anyway, it's all timeout: for WHAT a Server and/or Cloud Space/Service is needed!
Hello all ... Yes I have search Google for this but I'm interested in your opinion on the matter. I'm looking for a web based site were one can just log in and upload and download without having to install any software. So far there Dropbox and Mega. Dropbox look like my only option, yes? Since I like to upload large files and folders. I don't care whether its free or pay. I'm guessing pay is my only options since I would need around 4 or 5 hundred gb, so what do you think? Thanks
