to the OP, they are using Google and Amazon owned server storage space. This was in the "Terms" - 9.2. As a User of the Services, you understand and acknowledge that your Content will be stored on other Users’ computing devices, including but not limited to handheld devices, PCs and servers.
I love using Google Drive, so fast and more secure than others , in my own opinion Which Cloud storage would you choose? why?
I intend to backup my whole system, secondary and external HDDs to Amazon Cloud. Currently my drives are not encrypted at all. I'm running Windows 10 (no UEFI). I was wondering what is the best way to securely encrypt private data before uploading it to Amazon's cloud? I would like to have on the fly encryption, so there would be no need to create a container any sync it manually with Amazon's cloud software afterwards, but rather sync and encrypt the whole drive in real-time. Quite some people recommend Boxcryptor, but it doesn't support Amazon's Cloud. Cryptomator seems like a good choice, but how secure is it, since it's not open source? There is also Duplicati, SyncBackPro and StableBit, do you have any experience with any? How do they compare? Any other recommendations?
People usually want to "hide" information from other people but in time to implement do not want the information to be hidden, but available. Why? Because it gives work. Delay. You need to remember passwords. Yeah. What takes and gives work is the only secure way. If you want security, you need to rely on systems and passwords that only you know. System that use encryption standard, open on one side, as seen from one side is open, and therefore are not secure information. The vast majority of a Windows System there is no reason to be hidden. Only private and sensitive data. Separate your personal data from the system data. Then encrypt with password large, diverse and known only by you. If you do not give any value to security, to the work and to the delay in obtaining the information, then you do not want any security! cheers
I would like an application to efficiently image my hdd -> compress -> upload to cloud backup. But I'll settle for just a cheap cloud backup so I don't have to compress it. I'd also like to encrypt the whole thing, so does anyone know of a good all-in-one solution there?
You could use Amazon Cloud Drive. Mount it with acd_cli or other tools. Mount any folder from ACD with EncFS (adds an encryption layer). Config the backup-app to write images to this folder. Let the compression be handled by the backup-app (acronis true image; easeus backup or other free tools). There are good unlimited cloud space providers that costs 5-6$/month - acd, crashplan, backblaze.
Is there a program that can split files into different multiple cloud accounts and use all the accounts as one for doubling the space ? it would be cool if one programa can upload in to multiple clouds splitting files into different clouds automatically by doubling your space is there any solution for this available ?
Hi i need Cloud Storage Alternative "THAT RESPECT OUR PRIVACY AND FREEDOM" Is There Any Suggestion? It's Appreciated! Thank You! And oh yes not with NextCloud I Have Terrible Experience With This B*tch On The Dust Best Regards NST_Adventure
What issued did you encounter with nextcloud? You can always try owncloud which is nextcloud's "predecessor". Nextcloud was forked by owncloud.
The best cloud storage alternative would be an external SSD or HDD. Unless you have zillions of terabytes to store, it is actually the sensible alternative...
1. You can't left upload download process on background otherwise process will fail with weird reason Best Regards NST_Adventure
