Just a joke,man... I read about this distro seems to be full of buggy and slow...an we cannot test it until is installed to real hardware.I don't want to delete my beloved ''home made'' OS X Yosemite;not until I'll convinced.
I used Elementary OS and that was good until I deleted it because I was not able to make it to work with a Huawei 3131 Orange modem. And for me is also important how stable, how looks and the speed from an OS.
free1975yuly Deepin 2014.2 has not been slow and buggy for me. I use cgroup patch bleachbit mintcleaner.sh Code: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && sudo apt-get autoremove && sudo apt-get autoclean to keep Deepin 2014.2 running fine, and i install my AMD Catalyst graphics drivers, & Firefox, & Flash Player, manually. Off topic: If you want the 3d Dock back in OS X Yosemite, you can use DockMod 3.0.1 OR cDock. DockMod 3.0.1 Classic theme looks great on my Yosemite setup with Mavericks Trash bin. I have tried Elementary OS after Pear OS 8 ended, it just didn't look or feel right to me.
Put here some screenshots and convince me to download and try Deepin! I have tried cDock and NOT working.
Most countries have intelligence agencies that are spies, SO if you are worried about this, you should not be using most modern technology, e.g Phone or OS or thing like Facebook at all, just look at Windows 10 and Apple Mac and any mobile phone.

i have been using deepin since the first release and i performed a lot of things with that, checking bank accounts, money transfers, shopping, hiding my private files etc and had no problem with it.i trust the system and love deepin linux.
It is getting boring, all these distros. It is like everybody made their own theme of Windows 7 repackaged it (used to be done with XP, called some dark edition etc) None of these distros bring anything new to the market really, only make it more confusing
Makes you wanna beat the living s**t out of the people who do infrastructurally samey repacks, doesn't it? I know it does for me - it is nothing more than a waste of time and bandwidth for the most part if you ask me.
I agree with both of you. That is why I have only used 2 distros as my daily driver since I started using Linux over 15 years ago. In '99 I started using Debian full time and then almost 2 years ago I switched to Slackware. If you cant do what you want with one of those two distros then you might as well just use Windows. I have never even considered using a distro that has a "Windows like" theme. The whole point of Linux is it's not Windows. With that being said, most of the distros that I see people experimenting with look more like a Mac than they look like Windows. Even this one, once you put that "dock" down there it looks like a Mac to me, at the very least a Mac/Windows hybrid. *Right now I am test driving FreeBSD/Cinnamon and really liking it. So I might switch again.
Personally , I think it's best NOT to get it from Sourceforge.... I think it's best to totally avoid them. I share the same views as most of the people who posted on this MDL thread :- forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/61501-How-about-that-SourceForge I wanted to try Bhodi Linux but I could only find the download on Sourceforge , so I chose to do without it , for now. I just can't live with all the bundled crapware .... and yes , I know all the arguments .... economic necessities , changing business models etc , etc ... Sad to say , but that's the way wind blows .... .... Deepin looks nice though ! Thanks for posting.
