It is totally needed. I see major software dropping support for 7 right and left. So better to be prepared :)
For example Syncthing dropped support for Seven since 1.27.1 due to Go languages dropping Seven. So presumably everything written in Go had to drop Seven.

I can confirm that vxkex worked like a charm in installing and running Qt 6.7.1 :) (I found also some ported DLLs specifically for Qt though if anyone needs -versions 6.2.2 until 6.3.3-)

Probably a dumb question, but will that mean programs that require Qt6.x will run? Since the relaxing of .net installations for win7 1/2 of that issue was solved.

There are no dump questions. In fact this is a good question but unfortunately I cannot answer with confidence.
I have done some very limited testing with simple button demos and in my case I had to use Vxkex on the produced executable file. (I didn't use qt creator, I had c++ code which I build with cmake.)

I still got few problems but it could be unrelated to Qt. The answer is probably: It depends on the specific application.

    Bad news:

Due to unknown reasons the account of "vxiiduu" including his promising project VxKex got or was deleted.
Somebody did some own builds there as long as the project seemed inactive...so maybe....sometimes...
