Thank you for your suggestions, I have their set-ups downloaded and will try them one by one. I am one of those people who do not know the difference between pop3 and imap, so I need one that is simple to configure. I simply want to be able to set my default mail, something that Firefox/Thunderbird, does not allow me to do.
Yes, use the same settings as you used in Thunderbird! What they mean with Servers are those where you E-Mail Accounts are located.
Thank you for your help, at the moment mailspring works quite well. I will try that for a while, then test mulberry, if mailspring is not all I need... So: Thanks again, TM
Anybody know what goes on at Mailspring? Mail comes in, appears in the Inbox for a second or two and gets deleted, not just into the trash., gome forever! Any body knows anything????
I suggest Mailbird is also free and it works well, I personally use it myself and I'm happy with it. so far I have no problems with it.
I find none of them really usable for MY purpose, if you are happy, you are welcome. I have uninstalled all of them and now access them separately and directly. Just a little slower, but I am not really in afraid I might something important. And all without the slightest problem. Thank you everybody who tried to help.
I just checked on Mailspring with the free account I have there, and all is working just well, no problems with 'auto-deleting' email or not get them. Just Mailspring isn't valuing for me because I work with multi Email Domains and Accounts, and mailspring is expensive with $8.00 a month for to use with more than 4 email accounts!!
Check the website! 1 ½ month ago, also the shop was not working, as of today! Email to them didn't get an answer. You could try to get the Community Apps, just have to get many personal and company data to them! Like it?"?:
Worst about Zimbra is it needs Java Runtime, one of the most insecure and attacked softs of all times... As soon as I run the msi installer it asked for the Java crap immediately, geez. Needless to say I halted the installation.
To be honest, Developers of Apps, who like to get personal and Company Data, are WHAT? If I like to get an Email Client software, which may handle all of my (confident) Emails and Data, I simply like to use only something, which didn't try and/or force to get my data! Period! Except for 1 Email account I have, all others are on my own Servers and their own Domain, which I 100% control on my own! None of any Email with any sensitive data will go of the 1 exceptional account, which is Gmail! Any data going over 3.party servers are at risk!
I can only agree with you, so I simply got rid off all of them. We live in 2017, trusting ANY provider of free software (or paid, if it it comes to it) is no longer sensible.
