Hi All,

I was excited when Win8 RP was released a couple of days ago, and I did download the official http link from microsoft. After making the ISO USB ootable, I began to install on my Desktop and Laptop. After all the initial steps went well, I formatted the C drive and at copying the files
the installation got stuck at 5% with the below shown Error. I have re-downloaded the ISO from microsoft, but the same problem persists. While downloading with IDM, there were a couple of power cuts and the download was resumed. This happened on both attempts. Please find me a solution, and help me in installing the Win8 RP ASAP- Thanks

 

just set IE to default browser and Metro IE worksagain.

Metro IE gone here too, uninstalled FF, still gone. I think it disappeared when I turned UAC off/on, not sure. Turning UAC off/on now does nothing.

ETA - It doesn't show up under ALL APPS.

does build 8400 support UEFI Secure Boot?

 

yes I think so, at least it mentioned my board couldn't do a secure boot when I used the windows 8 installer from the ms web site.

 

Is there anyway to run a metro app on start up?

 

my copy paste menu gone 0-0
and show desktop button removes taskbar
strange......

 

Anyone got firewall(which can stop/notify outgoing connections) working on W8RP 64-bit? So far I've tried Zone Alarm, Comodo, Windows Firewall Notifier and none of 'em working...

Sup guys;

Since 8250 the creative for xfi pce xpress driver console alway comes back to default to 2.1 after setting at 5.1.

Each reboot brings it back to 2.1.

Now that is stupid and plus creative don't support these drivers anymore.

I just tried but either it allows everything(low filtering) or it blocks everything(medium filtering; it blocked Firefox without any pop-up under medium filtering), but do not display any notifications when it blocks any program. You have to become registered user/ donate in order to get notifications when it blocks. So it could be a good, just not a free option like Zone Alarm / Comodo.

 

On my dell inspiron n-5110 with intel hd graphics and intel i-3 processor this Windows is installed but win't want to detect the laptop's monitor....Any ussue,please,people...btw I tried until now that beta driver from intel...no results

 

I have no issues with Origin thus far.

 

Malfunction of the monitor can be excluded?

I had issu with IE10; i can't access any web page except Google (i have an amd board). Firefox work normaly.
Solution? Go to Advanced settings of IE--> security Tab and unchek "enable protected mode".
Issu with dvbdream that crache when changing to full screen; still here.
