I'm Surprised At How Poorly Build 8400 Runs I've used pre-release versions of Windows starting with Windows 95. In those days I ran Windows For Work Groups. Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, and now Windows 8. I'm surprised that Build 8400 isn't better than it is. There are just too many things that don't work properly. I think that Windows 8 will someday be listed along with such other Microsoft bad ideas like Microsoft Bob and Windows ME. I tried Build 8400. Couldn't get it to work well enough to continue using it. Restored Windows 7 from backup. Oh well, perhaps it's time to take another look at Linux.
I want to ask people who have sandy\ivy bridge CPU. I can't enable quicksync in any application using lucidlogix virtu (latest version). Are there any driver updates for HD Graphics 3000?
If you have that Hd Graphics 3000 is the same like mine but I'm curious how you made it to work because here is not...I have an Intel I3 CPU that seems to be sanybridge also As a temporary solution I use an external monitor and Ubuntu when I am at my job
Wheres Backup and Restore in the Control panel? Edit: never mind, found it. Its called "Windows 7 file recovery". WTF??!@#!!
Problem: Winlogon "There is no disk in the drive. (...)" error when shutting down (not when restarting) it's a driver problem, my memorycard reader is trowing these errors FIX: 1) From the Metro "Start" page type "Shutdown Settings" 2) Click the "Settings" Icon on the right of the screen. 3) Click "Change what the power buttons do" on the left of the screen. 4) Click "Change settings that are not currently available" 5) Scroll to bottom of Dialog box. 6) Uncheck the box titled "Turn on fast startup (recommended)." 7) Click "Save Changes" button. 8) Exit Power Options Dialog box.
