Err. Chrome Dev channel won't install? This is quite honestly a piece of s**t in my opinion. I don't like constantly switching between desktop apps and metro apps. I made a huge mistake in installing this over my win7 installation. Really hope I'm just missing something about this and it will improve soon...
i try old pc p4 3 ghz boot sceen error your pc needs restart please holdwn power button eror code 0x000000005d i dont use vitural program clean install..
Why can't i upgrade from WinCP to WinRP? When i want to choose "keep files" I only see the keep nothing option.
You just simply can't upgrade. However, if you go into the Sources folder and launch Setup.exe from there do you have the normal setup and will it create a Windows.old folder for you.
Windows 8 Release Preview Installer is saying that my Sandy Bridge i3-2100k is not compatible with Windows 8, so I can't install it. Well done M$. Does anybody had the same problem?
That is weird.. you can try one thing but do it on a new created partition in case it really won't work with your processor. What you can do is to go into the "sources" folder and launch "setup.exe" from there. It will then start up like a Windows 7 installation. But don't install this over your current OS so you can go back, just to be sure if it really doesn't work.

I just installed the 64bit version. My initial impression? It was quirkier than previous versions. I am unable to get my wireless adapter to work. Device Manager shows that it is installed and working properly but when I try to connect, Windows 8 tells me that there is no wireless device installed. This is deal breaker because my printer is a wireless printer and if I can't connect, I can't use Windows 8. Way to go Microsoft. Other features have been hidden or eliminated to protect us from ourselves. Can't run msconfig to improve performance. Can't run secpol.msc to turn off some of those annoying security settings. So far I have to conclude that this version is not a step forward, it is worse than the previous two preview versions.
With what video? All vendors to my knowledge have published OpenGL drivers, including Intel, though obviously the "inbox" drivers are still lacking.
