I wonder, shouldn't Windows 8 Release Preview checked build be available for download? Or should I leak it?
Why not simply mount it on a machine, where it is supposed to be. This probably is matter of missing drivers. MS doesn't care much about if W8 runs on fruit machines or not. Might also be some other issue
I also have faced problem like driver installation etc. But I have done all. Some hardware / software not installed in the default user mode. Then I have activated administrator account via lusrmgr.msc. and install /re install the driver /applications. I also have not found / activated start menu (Classic start menu) yet as many of us discussed here but I found all shortcuts in "C:\Users\"Username"\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System Tools" folder. The elevated command prompt is also not available here which is the cmd.exe in system 32 folder. For Wifi driver windows show the message that the adapter is not install. but in Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections it show the adapter with an option of connect / Disconnect. When I press it asked me the key and finally I have got connect to wifi adapter too. Hope it may help somehow to those who suffer the problems. Best of Luck Hitendra
Hi, I suggest u install Win7 on your iMac and then install Win 8 RP from within Win 7.For this you will need to have something like Daemon tools (or any virtual drive software for Win 7) and the iso image of Win 8 RP.I used this procedure for installing Win 8 RP on my colleagues Mac Book Pro. Hope it works for you too.Getting drivers for Win 8 RP on MAC is a hassle currently e.g Webcam Drivers , BlueTooth drivers and possibly even Thunderbolt port drivers might not be available.I could not enable these on that installation. Another guess for Win 8 not installing on Macs is that the boot camp software might not have been updated for the latest Windows OS.Try updating the boot camp software...and if Apple has added support for Win 8 probably things may work out... Possibly you cud try this method and update.... Hope this helps.
right click on the icon -> open folder location -> right click on the shortcut -> send to... -> desktop
Checked builds are only available on Connect. Not for public download. Btw do you have the CHK builds?
I can confirm it is not available on Microsoft Connect, but on MSDN subscriptions. BTW I have the CHK builds.
Quickly updating on my Windows 8 Freeze problem, it seems that a new feature introduced this behaviour. But the good news is you can disable the feature and it should resolve the problem. Previous workaround was to enable HyperV. For more information goto withinwindows.com/2012/06/28/workaround-for-windows-8-freezing-issues/ Basically it is only one command: bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes
Metro App not loading as well as before. Before they were fine. Uninstalled most of them, kept those that are loading fine. Graphics issues maybe on my gear. Old laptop, Tecra M7.
Good day! info for those who use Power8: we have just released Power8 Beta 1! http_//power8.googlecode.com Finally, Metro blocking, recent applications, Jump lists support (even on XP) and more. P8 should update automatically, but if not - use Download section of Power8 site. Please post your feedback here or via comments of P8 site/directly to developers, we appreciate all ideas and suggestions. Best wishes!

am I the only one who got trouble after some times with Administrative rights? I disable UAC always and so I did this also on win 8.... but now I can't install I need to run as admin. But I am an admin ? sorry for my bad english just had bad day.
I don't have DreamSpark, but I have WebsiteSpark, so I got a half-MSDN subscription. It's true that it's holds checked/debug builds, symbols for all builds, language packs and the normal CCPA version.
