Well, that advice does not look so good now.... I installed kaspersky, ran a first scan and what did they do? Delete Windows Loader 2.2.2, WITHOUT asking. The evem deleted the back up right out of the folder! For almost three hours I have now been in discussion with theĆr support... still no solution offered. PS I am trying to find a download for DAZ 2.2.2 All I get is error....? PPS Here is the whole story: In uninstalled Kaspersky completely after the DAZ loader desaster and installed Malwarebytes. It also complained about the "Hacktool", but asked what to do with it and offered to ignore in future. The MB Root Kit also found a trojan tinstall.exe in my Atheros driver and removed it. Kaspersky had not seen it... So, in my world, Malwarebytes is definitely better than Kaspersky
@Tito And how to know whether it is without secure connection or not Also I want to know what to do in case of security cloud free
Working at a computer store, we sell Kaspersky to customers but use Malwarebytes to clean up customers computers when they have issues. Kaspersky is also Russian, so there's that. Personally, I used Bitdefender when MS removed Security Essentials support from Windows 7 - up until last month when they provided a new update to SE and that all seems to be working again so now I just went back to that.
Both Daz loader magnet links are still working on MDL Daz download page https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-loader-download.58464/
Thank you, but someone already sent me the link. I was lucky I found it basically after it came out and when I needed it. I have used it ever since, and it has NEVER let me down. (I was using a different name them....)
Who would know more about their own O/S? If you were using W10, Defender is better than either Kaspersky or Malwarebytes.
Yes, I have read that many times. But I am afraid, that is not quite enough to make install something like Win10. I am looking forward to the soon coming Win11. That should be an even bigger laugh... No, sorry, if I have really forgotten to state that I am looking for AVs for Win7...
There are many legit utilities that get flagged by as hacking tools/trojans/ect. That is why many of the archived links here have a password. ie, MDL2021, etc. That way the archive (zip/rar/etc) can't be scanned & won't be removed...
Terrible reasoning. Defender is simply the lowest bar malware needs to pass in order to get installed on your machine.
Then why are users who have used it for ten years not being infected, who only find false positives??? Please, give me an example of a Win7 being infected by a virus, by someone who has not behaved like a complete idiot to make it happen?
