To those running the build, are you able to pin more than 10 items to a jumplist now? I am hearing jumplists are improved. I'll find out myself in a few hours. EDIT: Nope, of course it HASNT been fixed yet.. probably never will be. Power users be damned. Also glad to hear the old SANE compact spacing has returned for context menus. Microsoft has, at least on this, appeared to have listened to feedback: Windows-Feedback:?contextid=67&feedbackid=714d8044-8615-42e5-acd6-da795f9a5784&form=1&src=2
I get inaccessible boot device on a clean install, must be a hard disk driver problem, my computer is the lenovo g570. What should I do?
Still waiting for MS to update Edge to have the ability to choose when a download starts and the option to "save as". Allowing a download to automatically start can potentially put a virus and other harmful programs on the computer. Download location needs update to, I changed the default directory to my D:\downloads folder but I would like to have the ability to choose any directory based on what type of file that is downloaded, like mp3 goes to music folder and movies goes to video folder. I posted, along with many others about this, I guess MS doesn't look like they will make that change.
dunno what you should do but when i got that same error, i reformatted, installed Windows 7 Ultimate qualified, dumped the contents of the 10558 iso in a directory and ran windows 10 setup kept nothing upgrade. Could not clean install on this home built quad boot test box running xp sp3, 8.1.1, Windows 7 Ulti media refresh, Win10 10558. That being said... 10240 and other builds work as expected on this particular spec'd test box.
Finished installing this build in Hyper-V running on a Windows 8.1 x64 host. Install was fast & I noticed that I can access the host desktop using the "Quick Access" button in File Explorer. I don't know if it was there in previous builds but its nice that's it's there now.
Please log in with Microsoft account and you will see it. edit: account does not have to do with this problem as per cutee's comment.
More tinfoil hatting going on. This is a discussion about the build, not the telemetry. You wanna know how to get rid of it? Find the appropriate thread and get lost.
I get what you're saying about wanting to be able to put files in specific folders. That would be very handy. As far as "Allowing a download to automatically start can potentially put a virus and other harmful programs on the computer" goes, you should 1. Be running some sort of antivirus even Windows Defender at the minimum and 2. Just downloading a virus does not run a virus. It just sits there taking up space until you execute it. I'm fine with Edge auto starting downloads. Removes the problem of downloading a file to run it only and later on wanting to keep the file. Just saiyan.
