    Yup I know... I don't use backport - either way I don't have driver / kernel issue thus not a problem..

    Overall tho' I agree most issues are related to having the right setup regarding kernel/driver compatibility.. :)

    I never had and never would understand why the Boot Time matter for so many user that much?!

    For me only matters that the computer run fast and secure as needed AFTER the complete boot process is finished. That also includes those time some apps needed to finish the booting in hidden background which could still takes some wile! I need at least 2min for to get to the kitchen or canteen for to get my cafe, so I switch on my computer, go to get my cafe and as I come back to the computer it's up and running as it should! So really, why I should bother with an boot time in seconds? Even if I using my Laptop out of office, that boot time didn't matters at all! Again, ALL what matters is the good run of the fully loaded system!

    It's not the number of seconds so much, but a yardstick in comparing the speed of various OS'...and thus the conclusion regarding HD video..
