I have a new NVME SSD coming in today, might give this one a looksie. They've finally caught up on Xfce 4.14 in this version.

  7. is there any working solution for very slow usb3 file transfer speed on Linux Mint 19.3 .
Installed OS on m2 ssd & transferring Vmware Virtual win10 vmdk file from a external ssd.
transfer dialog says about 5hrs & 33 minutes to complete the transfer.
but in windows it takes only 3-4 minutes for copy paste the same file.

Did you wait until it copied the file or canceled because it showed it would take long time?
For me on Arch it seems that it is slow when copying files to a USB 3 flash drive but all of sudden it speeds up.

    Hi All,

Laptop Model: ASUS TUF GAMING FX505DY with Ryzen 5 3550H processor and 8 GB RAM

I have recently bought ASUS TUF GAMING FX505DY and wanted to install Ubuntu along side of Windows 10 home single language OEM but this laptop does not support Ubuntu or any previous versions of windows(like windows 7,8,8.1) it only supports windows 10, tried disabling secure boot and switching to legacy(CSM boot) but no luck, also tried updating BIOS drivers but no luck, luckily i was able to install linux mint 19.3 Cinnamon but mint does not have supported WiFi drivers for my laptop model.
So if someone has a workaround to install any third party drivers or guide me to any other supported linux distro for asus fx505dy.

Thanks, i was trying Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS Bionic Beaver which never worked, as mint wireless driver issue is fixed i would stick with mint for a while, if needed i may try ubuntu 19.10 in a month maybe and update here if 19.10 works.

I like mint more because of its easy to use UI
I love windows 8 UI the most, sadly windows 8 is not supported on my laptop, do you have any workaround for windows 8 to work on my laptop?
