After running WU and updating via WU you can retrieve the latest SCEPInstall.exe from: Code: \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download It will have size around 25MB and filename similar like: "39211e7a9da31dabf7c6fe2d10c3f8d15b78fe62" (without an extension - so rename is needed after copying it out). It it better to install old version 1st to check, if SCEP is integrated to Windows update.
there is some fail with this type of updating.. it shows in windows update an update to an older version...but SCPE says i have v4-6-305-0 installed View attachment 30685 *edit* the fail only happens when i use the exe installer filesfrom here.. if i download MSE installer from MS...extract it.. and update with the epp.msi in it win update dosnt show the older version update
No fail at all...MS just doesn't have KB update for SCEP yet, so WU checks your version and since it is different from the "latest-known" one (v4-5), it offers v4-5 as latest...
no no no ) It is because using epp.msi is WRONG, because updating that way will NOT register System Center to WU as category like Office or Silverlight (since it is MSE installer not SCEP), so NO updates for SCEP will show...
I think you're wrong... There are no updates for security client yet. We'll see about that when they appear...
I already explained above...that last official SCEP is v4-5 (because MS doesn't have v4-6 SCEP KB yet), so v4-5 it is offered, when WU updates of System Center are properly registered and different (even higher) version is installed...
