Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC ARM64 on Raspberry Pi 4

    Introduction
The idea of running Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC ARM64 on a Raspberry Pi 4 may sound ambitious, but thanks to the WoR (Windows on Raspberry) project, it becomes entirely possible to install an ARM version of Windows on this tiny machine. This project allows you to explore the limits of the Pi, experiment with Windows on an unofficial ARM platform, and obtain a relatively stable Windows environment for testing, development, or pure technical curiosity.

    What is WoR?
WoR (Windows on Raspberry) is a tool that simplifies the installation of Windows ARM on Raspberry Pi devices. It handles:
    • Preparing the SD card or SSD with the Windows ARM64 image
    • Installing Raspberry Pi–specific drivers
    • Configuring the UEFI bootloader
    • Automating most of the installation process
Thanks to WoR, you no longer need to manually manage UEFI files or drivers — everything is integrated into a simple interface.

    Booting from SSD: Improved Performance
Although installation can be done on a microSD card, booting from an SSD is highly recommended. Benefits include:
    • Much faster loading times
    • Better system stability
    • Reduced risk of data corruption
    • Overall performance closer to a mini‑PC
The Raspberry Pi 4 natively supports USB boot (after a firmware update), allowing Windows to start directly from an external SSD.

    Performance and Limitations
Windows 10 LTSC ARM64 runs surprisingly well on the Raspberry Pi 4, but some limitations must be kept in mind:
    • Modest performance compared to official ARM PCs
    • Some x86 applications may run through emulation, but with reduced performance
    • Partial hardware support (GPU, video acceleration, etc.)
    • Recommended use: testing, light development, browsing, simple office tasks
Even with these limitations, the experience remains impressive for such a compact device.

    Conclusion
Installing Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC ARM64 on a Raspberry Pi 4 using WoR is an exciting project for enthusiasts who enjoy tinkering and experimenting. With an SSD, the system becomes noticeably smoother and surprisingly usable for an unofficial Windows ARM environment.

A great way to push the Raspberry Pi to its limits!

Yes ! All work like a computer. The problem is for Logitech keyboard, the "loop of letter". I use the virtual keyboard for work on my Raspberry ...

Is the video playback decent? I know with Linux YouTube videos are painfully slow, I would assume it's the same no matter what but you never know.

Would this work on a Pi 4 model B too?

I am saving up to get me a complete starter kit soon :)

  12. Yes, having a Pi 4 too to make a download Server which downloads all my items in the night. But there are no Roms or whatever you need for Windows 10 and the Pi 4

No driver for Raspberry Pi 4, you can try with driver for 3B+
