Is it in the Canary version that there is the most "novelty" ?

An idea of how to change the language (if possible) and no longer have the admin popup ?

 

There is no portable version from now on, it installs just as Google Chrome does: you use a small web downloader (like 1.5MB in size) that pulls the necessary files from Microsoft just as Chrome's stub installer does from Google (of course the content is coming from Microsoft this time, not Google).

I'm sure someone will package this stuff as a portable sooner or later, but for now it's install direct and run with it.

The poster above was asking if the NEW BUILDS just released today as in the Developer and Canary builds have portable versions supplied from Microsoft.

And they do not, which is what I said: there are no portable versions of the Developer and Canary builds directly available from Microsoft because it's not actually meant to be portable, it's meant to be installed. It's possible to create a portable version using the installed files, sure, but Microsoft will never give people a "portable" version of this version of Edge based on Chromium. That will have to be created by someone else, probably someone here at MDL - it's not very difficult to do.

Yes, but you have to enable the option to be able to install extensions from other stores, it's on the Extensions page in the lower left hand corner.

 

Yes, they work fine, but you have to tick off something in the settings about allowing Edge to install extensions that aren't from Microsoft's extension store, Once you've done that it's basically exactly the same procedure as installing them on Chrome.

 

I just got accepted to, just recieved the email 10 mins ago, downloaded build 74.1.96.24 Dev channel

 

But How? Like to install chrome extension we can use chrome store. But where to get a file to install this in Microsoft edge?
